6 Installing a BIM
Switch off the battery circuit breaker before installing a BIM.

Before attaching the BIM fastener, ensure that the installation surface is smooth and
dustless.

If the BIM will not be used for a long period, disconnect the BIM cables or remove the
BIM to avoid power consumption which can affect the battery life.
Scenario 1 (Installing on the Battery Top)
Step 1 (Optional) Remove the insulation cover from a battery.
Step 2 Connect the negative and positive cables of the BIM to the negative and positive terminals of
the battery respectively.
