PV module
type
This parameter is used
to set different types
of PV modules and
the shutdown time of
the concentration PV
modules. If the
concentration PV
modules are shaded,
the power drops
drastically to 0 and
the SUN2000 shuts
down. The energy
yield would be
affected since it takes
too long for the power
to resume and
SUN2000 to restart.
The parameter does
not need to be set for
crystalline silicon and
filmy PV modules.

the SUN2000
automatically
detects the power
of PV modules
when they are
shaded and shuts
down if the
power is too low.

When the
concentration PV
modules are
used:
− If PV module
type is set to
CPV 1, the
inverter can
quickly
restart in 60
minutes when
the input
power of PV
modules
drops
drastically
due to
shading.
− If PV module
type is set to
CPV 2, the
inverter can
quickly
restart in 10
minutes when
the input
power of PV
modules
drops
drastically
due to
shading.
