● PSUs on the same server must be of the same model.
● Use dedicated power cables to ensure equipment and personal safety.
● Power cables are used only for dedicated servers. Do not use them for other
devices.
● Connect power cables of active and standby PSUs to
dierent power
distribution units (PDUs) to ensure reliable system operating.
● Ground equipment before powering it on. Otherwise, high leakage current may
cause equipment damage.
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 5.2 ESD Protection.
Step 2 Remove the PSU ller. See Figure 5-30.

Step 3 Take a spare DC PSU out of its ESD bag.
Step 4 Push the spare DC PSU along the guide rails into a slot until the PSU clicks into
place. See Figure 5-31.
