Step 7 Remove the signal cable from the left mounting ear plate.
Step 8 Place the removed left mounting ear plate in an ESD bag.

Installing the Left Mounting Ear Plate
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 5.2 ESD Protection.
Step 2 Power o the server. For details, see 5.4.2 Powering O the Server.
Step 3 Remove the power cables. For details, see 5.7 PSU.
Step 4 Remove the server. For details, see 5.4.4 Removing the Server and Guide Rails.
Step 5 Take a spare left mounting ear out of its ESD bag.
Step 6 Install the left mounting ear plate. See (1) in Figure 5-91.

Step 7 Connect the signal cable to the left mounting ear plate.
Step 8 Install the left mounting ear. See (2) in Figure 5-91.
