3. When the two mounting ears of the server come into contact with the
mounting bars on the cabinet, tighten their captive screws to secure the
server. See (2) in Figure 5-8.
Step 3 Connect power cables to the server and power on the server. Connect a network
cable, a VGA cable, or USB devices as required.

5.4.4.1 Removing the Server and L-Shaped Guide Rails
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 5.2 ESD Protection.
Step 2 Power
o the server. For details, see 5.4.2 Powering O the Server.
Step 3 Disconnect all power cables and signal cables from the server.
Step 4 Remove the server.
