5.6 Drive
● For details about drive slot numbers, see 2.6 Drive Slot Numbers and
Indicators.
● To ensure drive availability, the storage duration of a drive cannot exceed six
months before use.
● If drives of
dierent models are installed in one server and the customer has
no special requirements, observe the following rules:
– Use the Intelligent Computing Compatibility Checker to query the
types of supported drives.
– A RAID array supports only drives of the same model. It is recommended
that drives in one server be of the same type and capacity, but SAS and
SATA drives can be installed in the same server.
– If drives of
dierent capacities and the same type are to be installed in
one server, install small-capacity drives
rst and then large-capacity
drives.
