BREAK-IN FOR
H5000/H6000
Although there are
no
operational
restrictions on
the
pump when it
is
new, there are some
mechanical checks that must be done
to
insure long
term integrity
of
the
unit. When using
the
pump
for
the
first time, follow this procedure:
A. Before Using

Lubricate
all
grease points.

Check level
of
oil
in
the
gearbox
to
be

Retorque wheel bolls 10

After 40 and 100 miles on the road or 2 hours
and 5 hours
of
use:

Retorque wheel bolts
to
the

Maintenance section.

Check
all
hardware. Tighten
as
required.
3.
Lubricate
all
grease points.
C. Then go to the service schedule as outlined
in

maintenance schedule.

TOWING
I. When towing the Husky Liquid Manure
Pump
always put a safety pin
in
the draw bolt and
usc
safelY
chains as required by the Department
of
T ransporl.
2.
At
high speed the pump may weave on
the
road.
never travel
at
excessive speed.
3.
Always check wheel bolts and bearings
and
tires
before and during towing.
4.
Tie a
red
flag, or
red
light
at
night
on
the
end 01'
the pump while towing
or
as required
by
the
Department
of
Transport.

required by

of

4.04 PRE-OPERATION
CHECKLIST
Efficient and safe operation
of
the
Husky Liquid Manure Pump rcquires that each operator
reads and understands
the
operating procedures and all
related safety precautions outline
in
this section. A pre-
ope
rat
ion
checkl
ist
is
prov ided
for
the
operator.
It
is
important for both personal safety and maintaining the
good mechanical condition
of
the Pump that this
checklist
be
followed.
I.
Lubricate
the
machine per the schedule oullined
in
the
"Mamtenanee Section".
2.
Usc
only a tractor
of
adequate power and weight
to
operate
the
Pump.
3.
Ensure that
the
machine
IS
properly allached
to
the
tractor using a drawbar
pin
and
a retainer such
as
a pin
made
for
draw bolts
IS
installed.

Ensure that
the
PTO
driveline
is
securely attached
on
both ends and that there
IS
proper overlap
in
length
so thai the
PTO
won't come apart or jam
up.

Check
thai
PTO
shields are
in
place
and
that
it
can
rotate freely
and
telescope rreely. Secure
the
PTO
shield sarety chain (If supplied)
to
the
PTO
guards.

When
uSll1g
the
hydraulic system
for
the
pump:
A.
Inspect
all
hydraulic lines,
hoses,
fittings
and
connectors. Tighten any loose fillings and
replace any damaged components.
H.
Use
a clean cloth
to
wipe any accumulated
dm
from
the
couplers before connecting
to
the
trae tor's hydraul
ie
system.
C.
Be
sure
the
hydraullc reservoir
in
the
tractor
IS
rJIled
to
the
required specification.
D.
Be
sure
the
tractor hydraulic system
specifications match the requirements
of
the
motors &
cyl
inders.
7.
Check
the
tires
and
ensure that they arc inflated
to
the
specified pressure (Sec Specifications Section).
X.
Check
the
wheel bolt torques.
Be
sure
10
retorque
as
required
to
Ihe
specified level.
9.
Be
sure that any lights, reOeclors or SMV signs
if
installed
are
clean.
