GEARBOX

Maintenance Checklist

keep a record
of
all
scheduled
maintenance.
I. Do not
fill
the
gear box over

as
this
will
result
in
overheating

Oil level should
be
checked daily when
in
use.

There
is
a vent plug
in
the
side
of
the
box
to
relieve the pressure
as
the
oil warms
up
and expands.
It
is
possible
that
some
of
the
oil
may
push out through
the
plug when
it
is
used
the
first
time

It
is
normal [or
the
box
to
run
quite
warm
when
working, if
it
should get vcry
hot
check
the
oil
immediately and stop
until
it
cools down

BEARINGS
I.
The bearing on
the
bollom
of
the
H5000/H6000
liquid manure pump
is
called a marine bearing
and
it
is
lubricated with
the
manure itself.
this
bearing needs
no
attention. When
the
pump
is
out
of
the
pit
and
in
transport position
you
can
check
the
bearing wear
by
lifting on
the
fan
at
the
bOllom,
if
the
fan
moves
over
il2 "/12.7mm
it
is
time
to
change
the
bearing. (See
changing
the
bearing
in
section 5.02.4
of
this
manual).
2.
The bearing
in
the
centre
of
the
pump
is
an
oil
impregnated wooden block .
it
docs
not
usually need
replacing
as
it
just keeps
the
shaft
from
whipping
at
high
speeds.
If
the
bearing
is
worn
