Unhook the spring in the end of the
manoeuvring cable for the blade brake.
4. Unhook the spring (F) in the end of
the manoeuvring cable for the blade
brake.
Use a screwdriver to help.
Unhook the recoil spring from the blade
brake.
5. Unhook the recoil spring (G) from the
blade brake.
Use a screwdriver to help.
Lift the blade brake away from the
crankshaft.
Remove the belt guide.
Pull off the drive belt and remove the belt
pulley.
6. Remove the screw holding the belt
drive (H). This screw is also one of the
3 screws attaching the engine to the
cutting cover.
Lift the belt guide off the crankshaft.
7. Pull the drive belt off the belt pulley on
the crankshaft. Remove the belt pulley.
NOTE!
Take care when loosening the
springs. They are under great
tension.
Remove the centre screw (D). 3. Remove the centre screw (D). This
can sit very tightly (tightening torque
65 Nm).
Place the counterhold tool 576 79
83-01 over the fl at milled surfaces of
the belt pulley behind the clutch as
shown in the illustration.
Remove the clutch (E).
