GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
The warranty on this tractor does not cover items that have
beensubjectedtooperatorabuseornegligence.Toreceive
fullvaluefromthewarranty,operatormustmaintaintractor
as instructed in this manual.
Someadjustments willneed tobe madeperiodically to
properly maintain your tractor.
Atleastonceaseason,checktoseeifyoushouldmake
any of the adjustments described in the Service and
Adjustmentssectionofthismanual.
• Atleastonceayearyoushouldreplacethesparkplug,
cleanorreplaceairfilter,andcheckbladesandbelts
for wear. A new spark plug and clean air filter ensure
properair-fuelmixtureandhelpyourenginerunbetter
and last longer.
BEFORE EACH USE
• Checkengineoillevel.
• Checkbrakeoperation.
• Checktirepressure.
• CheckoperatorpresenceandROSsystemsforproper
operation.
• Checkforloosefasteners.

LUBRICANTSWILLATTRACTDUSTANDDIRTTHATWILL
SHORTENTHELIFEOFTHESELF-LUBRICATINGBEARINGS.
IFYOUFEEL THEYMUST BELUBRICATED, USEONLY A
DRY,POWDEREDGRAPHITETYPELUBRICANTSPARINGLY.

1 - Change more often when operating under a heavy load or in high ambient temperatures
2 - Service more often when operating in dirty or dusty conditions.
3 - Replace blades more often when mowing in sandy soil.
4 - Not required if equipped with maintenance-free battery
5 - See Cleaning in Maintenance Section.
6 - Inspect the muffler every 50 hours of operation
or six months for signs of damage. If damage is
found, refer to the repair parts list or contact your
local dealer to order a replacement.
