SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO LEVEL MOWER
EnsuretiresareproperlyinflatedtothePSIshownontires.
Iftiresareoverorunderinflated,itmayaffecttheappear-
ance of your lawn and lead you to think the mower is not
adjustedproperly.
VISUALSIDE-TO-SIDEADJUSTMENT(SeeFig.33)
• Withalltiresproperlyinflatedandifyourlawnappears
unevenlycut,determinewhichsideofmoweriscutting
lower.
NOTE:Asdesired,youcanraisethelowsideofmower
or lower the high side.
• Gotosideofmoweryouwishtoadjust.
• Witha3/4"oradjustablewrench,turnliftlinkadjustment
nut(A)tothelefttolowerthemower,ortotherightto
raise the mower.
NOTE:Eachfullturnofadjustmentnutwillchangemower
heightabout3/16"(4,7mm).
• Testyouradjustmentbymowingsomeuncutgrassand
visuallycheckingtheappearance.Readjust,ifneces-
sary,untilyouaresatisfiedwiththeresults.

• With all tires properly inflated, park tractor on level
ground or driveway.
CAUTION: Blades are sharp. Protect
your hands with gloves and/or wrap
blade with heavy cloth.
• Raisemowertoitshighestposition.
• Atbothsidesofmower,positionbladeatsideandmea-
surethedistance(A)frombottomedgeofbladetothe
ground. The distance should be the same on both sides.
• Ifadjustmentisnecessary,seestepsinVisualAdjust-
ment instructions above.
• Recheckmeasurements,adjustifnecessaryuntilboth
sides are equal.
NOTE:Eachfullturnoftheadjustmentnutwillchange
mowerheightabout1/8"(3,1mm).
• Recheckmeasurements,adjustifnecessaryuntilfront
tipofbladeis1/8"to1/2"(3,1to12,7mm)lowerthan
the rear tip.
• Holdadjustmentnutinpositionwithwrenchandtighten
jamnutsecurelyagainstadjustmentnut.

beadjustedsothefronttipis1/8"to1/2"(3,1to12,7mm)
lower than the rear tip when the mower is in its highest
position.

mower,or,counterclockwise( )(loosen)tolowerthe
front mower.
