SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
REPLACING BATTERY (See Fig. 43)
WARNING: Do not short battery termi-
nals by allowing a wrench or any other
object to contact both terminals at the
same time. Before connecting battery,
remove metal bracelets, wristwatch
bands, rings, etc. Positive terminal
must be connected first to prevent
sparking from accidental grounding.
• Lifthoodtoraisedposition.
• Removeterminalcover.
• DisconnectBLACKbatterycable then RED battery
cable and carefully remove battery from tractor.
• Installnewbatterywithterminalsinsamepositionas
old battery.
• Reinstallterminalcover.
• FirstconnectREDbatterycabletopositive(+)battery
terminal with bolt and nut as shown. Tighten securely.
• ConnectBLACKgroundingcabletonegative(-)battery
terminal with remaining bolt and nut. Tighten securely
• Closehood.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
• Raisehood.
• Pullbulbholderoutoftheholeinthebacksideofthe
grill.
• Replacebulbinholderandpushbulbholdersecurely
back into the hole in the backside of the grill.
• Closehood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Looseordamagedwiringmaycauseyourtractortorun
poorly,stoprunning,orpreventitfromstarting.
• Checkwiring.

TO REPLACE FUSE (See Fig. 44)
Unit has two automotive type fuses. Replace primary
operation fuse with a 20 amp and the differential lock
actuatorfusewitha10amp.Thefuseholdersarelocated
behind the dash.
