Syncing the Scout

Pairing Process

Connect the dongle, press the controller sync button, and observe LED indicators for successful pairing.

Post-Sync Operations

Powering On/Off

Press sync button to turn off; hold for 2 seconds to turn on.

Waking From Sleep

Press any button or the D-Pad to wake the Scout.

Charging and Battery Status

Charging Procedure

Connect the micro charge cable to a USB power source; solid red light indicates charging.

Low Battery Indicator

A slowly flashing red light on the controller LED indicator means the Scout is low on battery.

Helpful Hints and Sleep Mode

Operating Range and Sleep

Operates up to 30 feet; enters sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Unsynced Controller Sleep

Unsynced controller flashes blue for 20 seconds then sleeps.

Dongle Sync Button Function

Pressing the dongle sync button makes its LED indicator flash blue.

Connecting to Bluetooth Devices

BT Device Pairing

Controller appears as 'Input device' during pairing, then as 'Hyperkin Pad'.
