2.6.- DAILY CLEANING OPERATIONS
2.6.1. Cleaning the fi lters and fi lter holders
Rinse the fi lters and fi lter holders in hot water. Leave them in hot water overnight in order to dissolve the grease
left by the co ee.
2.6.2. Cleaning the groups
- Machines without visual display
a) Substitute the normal fi lter (21c) or (21d) for the cleaning fi lter (blind) (21e).
b) Add two spoonfuls of detergent (special for group cleaning) to the cleaning fi lter (21e).
c) Insert the fi lter holder in the feed group.
d) Press the non-stop feed button and let it run for 20 seconds.
e) Stop the feed by pressing the button again; during the decompression of the unit, the hot water
and the detergent will clean the feed group interior.
f) Repeat this point (e) various times.
g) Rinse the unit and without the fi lter holders inserted press any feed button to eliminate any
detergent residue.
- Machines with visual display (automatic washing):
When the co ee machine is in working position (main switch in position 2 and hot), press (on any button pad of any
group) the ‘non-stop’ button, and the ‘2 espressos’ button at the same time; the LEDs for ‘1 co ee’ and ‘2 espressos’
will light up.
The visual display will show:
Rinsing
Then the machine will perform the following cycle 7 times:
- 15 seconds of feed
- 2 seconds at rest
At the end of the cleaning cycle the machine will return to the start MENU.
The cleaning cycle procedure can be carried out on all groups at the same time.
2.6.3. Cleaning the machine exterior
The machine’s exterior panels should be cleaned with hot, soapy water (not boiling) and completely rinsed using a
soft cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive products, as the panels could be scratched.
2.7.- CHANGING THE BOILER WATER
Disconnect the machine by setting the three-position switch (12) to the o position.
Open the steam knobs (7) until no more steam comes out. (Use the steam dispensers (9) with care, as
during normal operations they are extremely hot).
Close the steam knobs (7).
Open the drain valve (26) until the boiler is completely empty.
Close the drain valve (26).
Connect the machine, setting the switch (12) to position 1 (or switch (23) to ON) and wait until the
automatic control system completes the fi lling of the boiler from the mains water supply.
