The iconBIT Kick Scooter DELTA (models IK-1920K, IK-1920S) is an intuitive, technologically advanced, two-wheeled electric personal mobility device designed for efficient, lightweight, and easy transportation with a low carbon footprint. It is intended for use on paved, flat surfaces and is not street legal in all jurisdictions, including the UK, due to its design not meeting specific road traffic regulations. Users are advised to check local laws regarding the use of such devices.

Function Description

The Kick Scooter DELTA operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and features a motor that provides acceleration. The scooter is activated by holding the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds. It offers three speed settings (Gear 1: up to 8 km/h, Gear 2: up to 16 km/h, Gear 3: up to 20 km/h), which can be toggled using the SPEED+ and SPEED- buttons. To accelerate, the user manually kicks off to gain initial speed, then presses the accelerator lever located below the LCD screen. Releasing the lever decelerates the scooter. Braking is achieved via a hand-operated front brake on the handlebars and a foot-operated rear brake by applying progressive pressure with the foot.

The scooter is designed for single-person use and can be folded for portability by pressing a lever and gently lowering the steering column until it locks. Unfolding involves pressing the lever and gently raising the steering column until it locks.

Usage Features

The Kick Scooter DELTA is equipped with an LCD display that provides essential information:

BATTERY: Shows the estimated remaining battery capacity with 6 bars for a full charge. Users are advised to recharge when only one bar remains to avoid performance degradation.
GEAR: Indicates the current speed setting (1, 2, or 3), influencing acceleration and maximum speed.
DISTANCE: Functions as an odometer, tracking total accumulated mileage (ODO) or current trip mileage (DIS). Trip mileage can be reset by holding the SPEED+ button for 5 seconds.
SPEED: Displays the current speed in km/h. Other display settings accessible by short pressing the ON/OFF button include:

VOL: Current battery voltage.
RPM: Motor speed.
TIME: Duration the scooter has been turned on.

Safety precautions are paramount. Users must wear appropriate safety gear (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards), comfortable clothing, and flat, closed-toe shoes. The scooter should not be operated under the influence of drugs or alcohol, when restless or sleepy, or in crowded areas. Avoid sharp turns at high speeds, driving over bumps or objects greater than 1.5 cm, or in inclement weather (snow, rain, hail, ice, extreme heat). It is crucial to pay attention to road conditions, people, and surroundings. The scooter is not waterproof and should not be used in damp or wet terrain, puddles, or mud.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. Before any maintenance, ensure the scooter is turned off and disconnected from the charger.

Cleaning: Disconnect the charger and turn off the scooter. Regularly check the housing and tires for damage or excessive wear. Clean the unit with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, avoiding water or aggressive cleaning agents on the charging port, footboard, and power button.
Battery Care: Charge the battery fully before initial use and before storing the scooter for extended periods. If storing for more than three months, recharge the battery completely every three months. Do not charge the battery if the ambient temperature is below 0°C; bring the scooter to room temperature first. Use only the supplied charger. Do not attempt to modify or replace the battery. If the battery leaks, seek medical attention immediately and dispose of the battery properly according to local regulations for lithium-ion accumulators. Overcharging can reduce battery life.
Storage: Store the scooter indoors, in a dry place, at recommended temperatures. Use the original packaging to prevent dust accumulation.

The manufacturer's warranty is valid for one year from the purchase date and covers material and manufacturing defects under normal use. It does not cover damage from natural events (fire, static discharge), unauthorized repairs or modifications, improper use or negligence, commercial use, software/firmware issues, water damage, or missing/defective serial numbers. Parts subject to wear and tear are also excluded. Any user disassembly or modification voids the warranty.
