• Your host computer must have a USB Type C

™

interface

• The IB-1121-C31 also works with computers and notebooks with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 Type-A interfaces

if the appropriate adapter is available

• The hub also works on devices with Thunderbolt 3 interface with the transfer rate of 10 Gbit/s

speciﬁed by USB 3.1 (Gen 2)

• The Type-C

™

interface can be connected with USB 2.0 standard in some notebooks and computers

The hub only supplies the full speed of 10 Gbit/s to USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C

™

interfaces

• The following operating systems are supported: Windows

Starting up

• To power the hard disk, connect the power supply

• Connect the USB cable to your notebook or computer

• Insert the 2.5" or 3.5" drive gently into the bay provided

Info: Drives must be initialized and have active partitions to be immediately recognized as volumes in the

operating system. If this is not the case, initialize the drives in the volume management of your operating system.

The full USB 3.1 (Gen2) transfer rate can only be achieved with a USB 3.1 (Gen2) Type-C

™

interface.

Furthermore, the USB 3.1 drivers must be installed by the operating system. If this is not the case, install the

appropriate drivers for your operating system (Windows

• The drive will be recognized by the system and is ready for use

Info: The IB-1121-C31 supports the hot plug function (hard disk change during the connection to the running

computer), but we recommend turning off the DockingStation to change the hard drives. Otherwise it can lead to

damage to the drives and complete data loss.
