How to lubricate the sewing machine
Warning! Always switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power
supply before lubricating the sewing machine.
Always use sewing machine lubrication oil.
1. Gently lay the sewing machine face down on a table. Remove the spool
pin. Take it out by pushing the spool pin to one side and levering it out.
Drip 1-2 drops of lubrication sewing machine oil into the hole while
rotating the hand wheel manually. To replace the spool pin, push it back
into place. Line up the spool pin in the correct position. Push it in at the
base. It should click into position. Return the sewing machine to its upright
position.
2. Remove the front cover of the sewing machine by loosening the screw on
the back. Drip 1-2 drops of lubrication oil on the bearings as shown.
3. Move the needle to its highest position, remove the accessories
compartment, open the cover and remove the bobbin case. Lift out the
retaining ring and the shuttle and drip 1-2 drops of lubrication oil inside.
Tip! On average, you should clean and lubricate your sewing machine after
about every 20 hours of use. If you haven’t used the sewing machine for a
longer period, lubricate it before using it again.
