Installation Instructions
A. Workplace Requirements
(1) Indoor installation is highly recommended.
Any outdoor installation places should meet all the conditions below.
(2) Operation conditions : 10
~40 (50 ~104 ), 30%~80% RH, 500~1060hPa
(3) Adapter : Power Input AC 100~240V, 50/60 Hz, 1.2A

B. Attention
Please READ the following CAREFULLY before installing the InBody230.
(1) The InBody230 should be placed horizontal to the ground.
(2)
DO NOT hold the head part with LCD or joints of hand electrodes when moving
the InBody230.
2. Place the InBody230 horizontal to the ground

ONLY use the adapter provided by Biospace to connect with the powerport. Insert the
adapter cable tightly into the power input port.
For insertion direction of result sheets, please refer to your printer manual as they may vary.
7.Remove the PVC cover from the hand and
foot electrodes
8.Turn on the power switch
The power switch is located at the rear of the equipment.
Please turn on the equipment.
When connecting peripherals(printers and other optional devices) to InBody230, turn
on the power of peripherals before turning on the InBody230. When turning the power
off, turn off the InBody230 before turning off the peripherals. This process will minimize
the harm to the equipment caused by electric shock.
DO NOT touch the base frame after turning it on and during warming up. During
warming-up, the InBody230 processes the self-testing, zero point setup for the
scale, and adjustment of the internal circuit. Applying pressure or weight to the
base frame during self-calibration will result in an inaccurate calibration and the
measurement may be inaccurate.

The printer connected to the InBody230
automatically prints out the results.
Then, the InBody230 goes back to the
initial screen.
9.Self-calibration
When the power is turned on, there is a signal sound and as the
logo comes up on the screen, self-calibration starts automatically.
Self-calibration will last about 15 seconds.
After self-calibration, there is another signal sound and the
InBody230 is ready for the measurement.
During the measurement, maintain the same posture and
do not move or talk.
The measurement takes approximately 30 seconds.
When the measurement is completed, the
‘Completion’ message appears on the
screen with a signal sound. Return each
hand electrode back to its original position,
and step down from the base frame.
10.Measurement
Step on the base frame and measure weight. Make sure to place your heels on the circular
electrodes and the front soles on the fore-foot electrodes.
When you steps onto the machine, the screen will display your weight.
Bare feet must be in contact with the foot electrodes. Fingers and thumbs must be touching
hand electrodes.

NEVER use this equipment if you have
- Medical electronic implants, such as pacemakers
- Electronic life support systems, such as an artificial heart/lung
- Portable electronic medical devices, such as an electrocardiograph
This equipment may cause malfunctions of the above mentioned medical electronic devices.
Confirm the InBody230 is ready for measurement. If it is ready, the following screen is displayed.
For accurate results, please take off heavy clothes and accessories.
Enter personal information and press ENTER.When the cursor is at the I.D., use the
keypad beneath the screen; type the I.D., AGE, HEIGHT, and GENDER. (WEIGHT will be
automatically appeared on the screen) Please press ENTER to start the measurement.

While pulling it up, press the base frame down to hold the machine on the ground.
From the front view, it should be slightly tilted backward.
3. Unfold the InBody230
Pull the stand of the equipment upward carefully until it stands upright.
Tighten the joint screw to the right pushing it as below.
Push the head part upward carefully.
4. Balance the InBody230
Level the InBody230 using the indicator and the four supporters.
The level indicator is located at the upper-left corner of the base frame.
Four supporters on the bottom of the base frame also work as leveling screws.
Be careful with handling those screws. Your fingers may get hurt on the edge of the base frame.
