ADDITIONAL SYSTEM INFORMATION
System Start-Up
Due to the largenumber of features and capa-
bilities that theINFINITI InTouchsystem needs
to load on start-up, it maytakeuptoaminute
for allfunctions(suchasApps) to be available.
The system will display the message indicating
that theapplication is loading during thistime.
During thestart-up period, hard button controls
foraudio and climate will become available be-
fore start-up is complete.Features will become
available in the followingorder.
•
Audiovolume and music playback
•
Audio Full Screen Access
•
Full App Availability – System will display the mes-
sage indicating the completion of the application
loading proc ess.
System Response Delay
INFINITI InTouchuses an operating system like
thosefoundonmany computers,tabletsand cell
phones. Likethese devices, processing speed
mayvary, and system response delaysorresets
mayoccur intermittently.Thisdoes not indicate
am
alfunction, and further information on sys-
tem operation canbefound below.
In most situations, simply waiting afew mo-
ments longer should be sufficient for the pend-
ing operationstocomplete.
If the system temporarily does not respond to
commands, the system canbeeasily reset.Sim-
ply push downthe Audio Power knob foratleast
5seconds. The system will turn off and restart.
After restart, allfunctionsshould be available.

Audiowillresume, but if youwere using
Bluetooth® Audio or an Audio App, the connection
mayneed to be re-established.
•
If anavigation route was set, the route should re-
sume automatically (models with navigation sys-
tem).
•
If aphone call was in progress, thecall maybetem-
porarily transferred backtothe handset.
System Reset
As notedabove, intermittent system resets may
occur during normal operation. Youmay also
wishtoreset the system if youfind that apar-
ticularfeature is not loading or responding. Of-
ten, aquicksystem reset will resolve any issue
youmay be experiencing. After restart, allfunc-
tionswillbeavailable as described above.
System Updates
Likemany digital devices, the INFINITI InTouch
system is designedtoallow forsoftware up-
dates as enhancements are developed and ad-
ditional features added. If youhave questions
aboutsystem performance, contact your
INFINITI Centre or qualified workshop to ensure
that your vehicle has had the latest available
software installed.
Operating Tips
INFINITI InTouchprovides several methods of
operationtosuit your preferences. The follow-
ingare suggested operating tips.

Operatingthe INFINITI Controller,Steering Wheel
Controls, or other controls too quicklycan cause a
lagbetween the control and the display.Operate
thecontrols carefully and allow the systemtore-
spondtoyour request.
•
INFINITI recommends using VoiceRecognition
whenever possibletoselect optionswhile driving.
Some touchscreen functionality is intentionally
unavailable during driving. Pleaseview the avail-
able voicecommands by pushing <

> onthe
steering wheeland then selecting acategory
on thedisplay.
•
In some situations, the system maynot be able to
recognizeyour command even if yousay the exact
command. Thiscan be due to noise conditionsor
an ac

nt.
