Failure to follow the warnings and instructionsfor
proper use of the Moving Object Detection system
could result in serious injuryordeath.
•
TheMOD system is not asubstitute forproper ve-
hicle operation and is notdesigned toprevent con-
tact with the objects surrounding the vehicle.
Whenmanoeuvring, alwaysuse the outside mirror
and rearview mirror and turn and checkthe sur-
roundings to ensure it is safe to manoeuvre.
•
The system is deactivated at speeds above 8km/h
(5 MPH). It is reactivated at lower speeds.
•
The MOD system is not designed to detect the sur-
rounding stationaryobjects.
The Moving Object Detection (MOD) system can
inform the driver of the moving objects
surrounding the vehicle when driving out of ga-
rages, manoeuvring into parking lots and in
other suchinstances.
The MOD system detects moving objects by us-
ing imageprocessing technologyonthe image
shown on the display.
MOD SYSTEM OPERATION
TheMOD system will activate automatically un-
der the following conditions:
•
When theshift lever is in the R(Reverse) position.
•
Whenthe <CAMERA>
buttonispressedtoswitch
from adifferent screen to the cameraview on
thedisplay.
•
When vehicle speed decreases below approxi-
mately 8km/h (5 MPH).
•
When the ignition switch is placed in the OFF posi-
tion and then backtothe ON position.
