positiveterminal and an earthpoint, in the en-
gine compartment.
WARNING

Incorrect jump-starting canleadtoabatteryex-
plosion. The batteryexplosion mayresult in se-
vere injuryordeath. It mayalso result in damage
to the vehicle. Be sure to follow the instructionsin
thissection.

Explosivehydrogen gas is alwayspresent in the
vicinity of the battery. Keep allsparksand flames
away from thebattery.
•
Always wear suitable eye protection glasses and
removerings, bracelets, and any other jewellery
whenever working on or near abattery.
•
Never lean over the batterywhile jump-starting.
