ISOFIX CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM
Your vehicle is equipped with special anchor
points that are used with ISOFIX child restraint
systems.
ISOFIX lower anchor point locations
The ISOFIX anchor points are provided to install
child restraints in the rear outer seating posi-
tionsonly. Do not attempt to installachild re-
straint in the centre position using the ISOFIX
anchors.
The ISOFIX anchor points are located,labelled
ISOFIX,atthe bottom of the rear seat cushions.
ISOFIX child restraint anchor
attachments
ISOFIX child restraints include two rigid attach-
ments that canbeconnected to two anchors lo-
cated inthe seat.Checkyour child restraint for a
labelstating that itis compatiblewith theISOFIX
child restraints. Thisinformation mayalso bein
the instructionsprovided by the child restraint
manufacturer.
ISOFIX child restraints generally require the use
of atop tether strap or other anti-rotation de-
vicessuchassupportlegs. When installing
ISOFIX child restraints, carefully read and follow
the instructionsinthismanual and those sup-
pliedwiththe child restraints. See
“Child restraint
and ISOFIX information” later in thissection
.
CHILD RESTRAINT ANCHORAGE
Your vehicleis designedto accommodate achild
restraint system onthe rear seat.When install-
ingachild restraint system, carefully read and
follow the instructionsinthismanual and those
supplied with the child restraint system.
WARNING

Child restraint anchorages are designed to with-
stand only those loads imposedbycorrectly fitted
child restraints. Under no circumstances are they
to be used for adult seat belts, harnesses or for
attaching otheritems or equipment to the vehicle.
Doingsocould damagethe child restraint anchor-
ages. The child restraint will not be properly in-
stalled usingthe damaged anchorage, and achild
could be seriously injured or killed in acollision.

The child restraint top tether strap maybedam-
aged by contact with the parcel shelf or items in
the luggage area. Remove the parcel shelf from
the vehicleorsecure it in the luggagearea. Also
secure any itemsinthe luggage areasee “Parcel
shelf” in the “2. Instruments and controls” sec-
tion
.Your child could be seriously injured or
killed in acollision if the top tether strap is
damaged.
