3. Remove the two protective caps from the LC-to-LC type cable. Save the protective caps for future
use.

4. Insert the LC-to-LC cable to the SFP transceiver module already connected to the system. You can
hear a clicking sound, securing the cable in place.
5. Remove the protective caps on the other end of the cable, then connect to an SFP transceiver
module on a Fibre Channel switch port or a Fibre Channel host bus adapter (HBA) port.
