5.3.1 Gift Cards
5.3.1.1 Deposit
This function is used to insert a required amount onto an electronic gift card.
5.3.1.2 Available Balance
Standalone Terminal
This function is used to view the available balance on a gift card on a standalone terminal.
Receipts are not printed for balance enquiries.
Integrated Terminal
This function is used to view the available balance on a gift card on an integrated terminal.
5.3.1.3 Defective / Replacement Gift Card
It is possible to create replacement cards for defective Nets prepaid gift cards. There may be various reasons that a customer
requires a new gift card. These may include:
› Demagnetisation
› Defective magnetic stripe/card
Available Balance
Manual entry of the card number is used to check the outstanding balance on the defective card.
The customer must have access to the card number (19 digits) and produce the physical card.
When the balance on the defective card is known, a replacement card can be created.
Prepaid Gift Card
This function is used to view available balance on a gift card on a standalone terminal.
