Why Ingersoll-Rand Cutter losing power?
- JJay Morris Jr.Jul 28, 2025
If your Ingersoll-Rand Cutter experiences a loss of power, start by checking the air supply. Ensure the air pressure is at 90 psig (6.2 bar/620 kPa) at the tool's inlet for optimal performance. If the air supply is adequate, the power regulator may be clogged. Clean it using a suitable cleaning solution, and replace it if cleaning doesn't resolve the issue. Finally, a worn throttle valve could also be the cause; if so, replace the throttle valve.
