Barcode
This
screen
allows
the
user
to
enable
or
disable
the
use
of
a
barcode
scanner
and
to
configure
the
settings. To enable use of barcode scanner, select within the Enable Barcode field to show
indicator
in
ON
position.
User
has
an
option
to
manually
enter
barcode
on
the
home
screen.
To
enable
manual
entry,
select
Manual Barcode Entry under Barcode Settings.
Pre-requisites
Do
the
following
for
an
initial
setup
of
USB
barcode
scanner
or
serial
barcode
scanner
with
the
controller:

For

refer
to
the
Quick
Start
Guide
provided
by
the
barcode
scanner
manufacturer.
For a setup, do the following:1.
In
case
of
an
USB
barcode
scanner,
configure
the
scanner
as
USB
Keyboard
(HID)
device.

In
case
of
a
serial
barcode
scanner,
configure
the
scanner
as
Serial
device.

Configure
the
scanner
to
include
an
end
of
string
terminator
<CR>
or
<LF>
or
both.2.
Selecting
a
Source
Do
the
following
to
enable
barcode
scanner
settings:
Under Select Source, select one:1.
Ethernetx
Serialx
USBx
If
Ethernet
is
selected,
do
as
follows:2.
In
the
Ethernet
Server
Port
field,
enter
the
port
number.a.
If
Serial
is
selected,
do
as
follows:3.
From
the
Serial
Port
field,
select
a
port
from
the
drop
down
list.

From the Baud Rate field, select the rate from the drop down list.b.
From the Data Bits field, select the number of data bits from the drop down list.c.
From the Stop Bits field, select the number of stop bits.d.
