Function
This instruction is only applicable to PLCs of the transistor output type. Eight X ports and several Y ports
form an input matrix network to increase the number of input signal channels. This instruction typically uses
the ON contact M8000. Example:

stored in M10
Considering the 10-ms response delay of the X input lter, the output of Y30 and Y31 is interrupted every
20 ms to enable instant input/output processing.
The M8029 ag is set to ON after every automatic read operation is completed.
A maximum of 64 scan inputs can be acquired using eight X inputs and eight transistor Y outputs. However,
it takes 160 ms (= 20 ms x 8 columns) to read all inputs, which is impractical for high-speed input.
Therefore, ports after X20 are typically used for scan input.
