Do you have a question about the insize 7315 Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The INSIZE 7315 series of wireless transmitters are designed to connect to various measuring tools and send their values wirelessly to a computer via a 7315-2 or 7315-3 receiver. Each transmitter has a unique serial number for identification.

Function Description:

The primary function of the 7315 series transmitters is to enable wireless data collection from digital measuring instruments. When connected to a compatible gage, the transmitter captures the measurement value and sends it to a computer. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, improving efficiency and reducing errors in measurement processes.

Important Technical Specifications:

The manual does not explicitly list technical specifications such as frequency, range, or battery life in a dedicated section. However, it does provide information about the battery type and general operation.

Usage Features:

Components of the Transmitter:

  1. Button: Used to trigger data collection and send one data point at a time.
  2. Indicator: A red light flashes once for each successful data transmission, confirming that the data has been sent.
  3. Plug: This is the connector that inserts into the data interface of the compatible gage.
  4. Serial Number: A unique identifier printed on the side of each transmitter (e.g., ID: 4018070005).
  5. Product Model: Indicates the specific model of the transmitter.

Battery Installation:

To install the battery, remove the four screws from the cover of the transmitter. A CR2032 battery should be loaded with its positive side facing outwards.

Connection with Gages:

The transmitter comes with a velcro sticker on its battery cover. Another velcro sticker can be attached to an appropriate position on the gage. This allows the transmitter to be securely fixed to the gage, preventing inconvenience during measurements.

Applicable Gages for Different Transmitter Models:

  • 7315-21: Compatible with digital calipers and digital depth gauges.
  • 7315-22: Compatible with large digital calipers (range ≤1000mm) and digital height gauges.
  • 7315-30: Compatible with digital micrometers.
  • 7315-50: Compatible with digital indicators, digital thickness gages, and digital internal/external caliper gages.
  • 7315-50M: Compatible with digital indicators, digital thickness gages, and digital internal/external caliper gages.
  • 7315-60: Compatible with high precision digital indicators.

Fixed Position of the Transmitter (Reference Examples):

The manual provides visual examples of how the transmitter can be attached to various gages:

  • 7315-21: Shown attached to digital calipers.
  • 7315-22: Shown attached to large digital calipers and digital height gauges.
  • 7315-30: Shown attached to digital micrometers.
  • 7315-50M: Shown attached to digital indicators and digital thickness gages.
  • 7315-60: Shown attached to high precision digital indicators. Users can choose other suitable attachment methods if preferred.

Maintenance Features:

The manual does not detail specific maintenance procedures beyond battery installation. However, it is implied that proper handling and care, as with any precision instrument, are necessary to ensure longevity and accurate operation.

FCC Statement:

The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, meaning its operation is subject to two conditions:

  1. It may not cause harmful interference.
  2. It must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Users are cautioned that any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void their authority to operate the equipment.

The equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. If the equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, users are encouraged to try to correct the interference by:

  • Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
  • Increasing the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connecting the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consulting the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

RF Warning Statement:

The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirements and can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction.
