3-3 System Memory Configuration
Memory Layout
The mainboard accommodates four PC2100/PC2700/PC3200 184-pin DIMMs (Dual In-
line Memory Modules):
Supports up to 4.0GB of 266/333/400MHz DDR SDRAM.
Supports two 64-bit wide DDR data channels.
Available bandwidth up to 3.2GB/s (DDR400) for single-channel mode and
6.4GB/s (DDR400) in dual-channel mode.
Supports non ECC DIMMs.
Registered DIMMs not supported.
Supports 128-Mb, 256-Mb, 512Mb DDR technologies.
Supports only x8, x16, DDR devices with four banks.
SPD (Serial Presence Detect) scheme for DIMM detection support.
Supports configurations defined in the JEDEC DDR1 DIMM specification
only.
Figure 6 and Table 1 show several possible memory configurations.
