The Scan 50 is a new generation manual colony counter designed to offer contrasted colony lighting while protecting the user's eyes. It aims to improve the ergonomics of colony counting and prevent MusculoSkeletal disorders (MSD). Traceability is ensured via a USB port.

The Scan 50 is a manual colony counter that allows users to count colonies on Petri dishes. It provides a clear view of colonies, even in a "galaxy of colonies," through its advanced lighting system. The device is designed for efficiency and accuracy in microbiological analysis.

Usage Features:

Contrasting Colony Lighting: Dark Field 2

  • Indirect Lighting System: Dark Field 2 is an indirect lighting system with adjustable intensity. Light reflectors diffuse the light at all points without any reflections or shadows. This makes all colonies stand out on the surface, in the mass, and around the edge of the dish.
  • Eye Protection: Flashes of light are eliminated, protecting the operator's eyes.
  • White Background and Counting Grids: The device includes a white background and counting grids to aid in visualization.

Traceability:

  • Data Export: Save time by exporting recorded data via USB, LIMS, spreadsheet, or text format. This feature helps avoid errors in rewriting results.
  • Barcode Reader Connectivity: A barcode reader can be connected for data transmission (optional accessory).

Ergonomics Redesigned:

    • Offers 9 different sounds and a headphones jack to allow users to work without disturbing colleagues.
