9. Inspection and maintenance list
Check position and condition of brushes
Check the brush head is horizontal and flat when in the
operating position
Check clean water tank and dirty water tank for leaks
Check that switches are working and lights are not blown.
Dismount and clean the vacuum motor
Check the vacuum motor is working properly
Check the squeegee blades
Check the squeegee is in the correct position on the floor when
suction is on
Dismount suction hoses and clean
Check the drive motor gearbox for leaks (if there are leaks
please call the Gansow Service immediately)
Check tyres for the presence of foreign matter or wear
Clean bayonet and brush connection
Check the carbon brushes of the traction motor
Check the carbon brushes of the brush motor
Check whether the motor cables are damaged or loose
Check whether the drive pedal is moving smoothly (without play)
Check outlet hose for damage
Check suction pipes and hoses for blockages
Check battery cable and connectors
If not used for long periods, leave the machine with the battery
charged and the battery plug unplugged.
Check that cell caps are safe and not damaged (does not apply
to GEL batteries)
Check acid level in each cell (does not apply to GEL batteries)
Grease terminals (does not apply to GEL batteries)
Clean control unit (blow out with compressed air)
Check that contacts are clean and weld free
Check that cable connections are firmly secured (false
connections)
Clean control unit (blow out with compressed air)
Check that automatic fuses are firmly in position
Check connectors are firmly connected
