Should you live in a time zone different from Central Europe (=Germany), we suggest the
following manual settings:
- If you have no DCF77 reception at all: Set your local time manually
- If you may have DCF77 reception: Set the Time Zone off-set to the time in Germany
(e.g. UK -1 hour, Finland +1 hour). If the clock receives the time during night, it will
then take the received time and add your Time Zone setting. And you will have your
correct local time on the display again, but this time following the highly accurate
DCF77 !
MANUAL TIME AND CALENDAR SETTING
- Press and hold MODE for 3 seconds, the year digits start blinking. The year can now be set
by pressing

or

.
- Press MODE, the month digits will blink and can be set by pressing
+
or
–
.
- Press MODE, now the date digits will blink and can be set by pressing
+
or
–
.
- Press MODE, the language digits for indicating the day of the week will blink and can be set
by pressing

or
–
. You have the following choice: GE for German, EN for English, IT for
Italian, FR for French, NE for Dutch, SP for Spanish and DE for Danish.
- Press MODE, the Time Zone (“Tz”) set-up digits will blink and can be set by pressing
+
or
–
(from -12h to +12h).
Important note: The Time Zone setting will only be added to the received time and then
shown on the display after the next successful time reception !
- Press MODE, the hour digits will blink and can be set by pressing
+
or
–
.
- Press MODE, the minute digits will blink and can be set by pressing
+
or
–
.
- Press MODE to return to the normal time display.
Note: if you do not press any key during above setting procedure for more than 30 seconds,
then the clock returns automatically to the normal time display. All setting made so far will be
taken over. This is also so for all other settings described below.
12/24 HOUR DISPLAY MODE
Press the
+
button to switch from 24 to 12 hour time mode and backwards. In 12 hour mode,
AM/PM will appear on the display.
°C/°F UNIT CHANGE
Press the
–
button to switch the temperature display from °C t o °F and vice-versa.
START TIME SIGNAL RECEPTION
You may restart a new time reception at any time by pressing the WAVE button. The icon
will then start to blink.
