When the LDP Does Not Operate
When the driver releases his or her hands
from the steering wheel or is not gripping
the steering wheel firmly for a while, a
warning buzzer will sound. The system is
temporarily canceled.
NOTE
• If you grip the steering wheel lightly,
or depending on the road conditions,
the system may determine that you
have released your hands from the
wheel (are not holding the wheel)
even though you are gripping it.
Operation of the LDP
When the vehicle is about to depart
from the lane while the LDW is issuing a
warning, the system assists the steering
wheel operation in the direction to avoid
lane departure to control departure from
the lane.
A warning message is displayed on the
MID. At the same time, the steering wheel
vibrates.
