When is the Seat Belt with Pretensioner and SRS Airbag System not
Likely to be Activated?
In the following cases, the seat belt with pretensioner and SRS airbag system (including
the passenger side airbag, if equipped) is less likely to be activated even if they are
working properly.
When the vehicle gets under an
obstacle or vehicle
When the vehicle collides against a
utility pole or standing tree
When the vehicle has a frontal angle
collision
When the vehicle has an offset
collision (one-sided collision)
