Do not Use the Hill Start Aid (HSA) for Parking
CAUTION
HSA is a device to stop the vehicle
temporarily and cannot replace
the parking brake. When parking,
be sure to firmly apply the parking
brake.

Parking Safely on a Slope
CAUTION
As much as possible, choose level
places to park and avoid parking on
slopes. If you cannot avoid parking
on a slope, firmly apply the parking
brake and make sure the vehicle
does not move. Apply chocks to the
wheels for safety. Also, leave the
vehicle in gear to further ensure that
it will not move.
Leave the steering wheel turned
so that the vehicle will be stopped
by an obstruction (for example, the
curb) in the unlikely event that it
moves.
