For production of properly fitting aligners,
evaluate the digital model for the
following before submitting
• Capture 2 mm of gingival tissue
• Distal wall of the terminal teeth
• Mesial and distal interproximal anatomy
• The complete incisal / occlusal
surfaces of both mandible and maxilla
• Accurate bite with the patient in
centric occlusion
