Summary

1. Functions of the parts

Shutter

Press the button to take a photograph or start/stop video recording or to confirm changes in the menu mode.

Power switch (ON/OFF)

Press to turn on. Hold down the button for over 2 seconds to turn off, or press to display or hide the status icon on the LCD screen.

LCD button

Press this button to select between large or small LCD screen sizes.

Strap hook

Thread the wrist-strap through the hole provided to attach it to the camera.

Flash

Use the camera's built-in flash to light the subject in low lighting (the recommended distance for using the flash is under 1.5m).

Lens

Captures the photograph. Note: Keep the lens clean. Dirt and fingerprints may affect image quality.

Busy indicator

When the indicator flashes the camera is in use with an operation.

Small screen

Use the small screen for taking photographs of yourself.

Macro/Normal switch

Macro mode: Select this mode to take close-up photographs (11cm - 18cm focal range).

LCD display

Displays photographs, videos, camera settings and menu.

Up/Zoom

In preview mode: press this button to select the zoom option.

Down/Wide

In preview mode: press this button to select the wide angle option.

Left/Flash

In photo preview mode: Press this button to change between flash modes. (Flash cannot be used in macro mode)

Right/Play

Press this button to enter playback mode.

Mode switch

Press this button to choose between video recording or photography.

Menu/Delete

In preview mode: press to enter the settings menu.

Tripod connector

To fix the camera to a tripod.

USB interface

This connection is used to download photographs and videos to the computer.

MicroSD memory card slot

To put in a MicroSD memory card.

Battery compartment

Battery compartment for 2 AAA batteries

6.1 Battery installation

Open the battery case cover. Insert two AAA alkaline batteries in the camera.

6.2 Insertion of memory card (not included)

This camera does not have internal memory. Use MicroSD memory card for storage.

6.3 Taking photographs

Depending on the distance to the object being photographed, use the macro switch to adjust the distance.

6.4 Self-portraits thanks to use of the small monitor

If you wish to photograph yourself, you can do so using the small LCD monitor.

6.5 Timer setting

You can use the self-timer function when you take a photograph of yourself or an object without flash.

6.6 Recording video clips

Select the video mode. Select the resolution (VGA (640 x 480), QVGA (320 x 240))

6.7 Playback photographs

The camera provides two playback options: a) Full-frame b) Thumbnail images

6.8 Deletion of photos and videos

You can delete a single photo/ video, or delete all the photos/videos in the memory.
