2.Checkifthefanbelttensioniscorrect.
Thefanbelttensionshouldbeoftenchecked,inthefollowingway:pressingthe
beltwith70-100Nforcetoseeifitsdeflectionisthespecifiedvalue.Ifthefan
beltisover-tightened,thepumpbearingandthealternatorbearingswillbedam
agedtooearly;ifitistooloose,thenbeltwillhaveslip,andthecoolingeffectwill
godown,hence,theenginewillbeoverheated.

Checktheradiatorandthecoolantlevelintheauxiliarywatertank.Addsome
morecoolantifthelevelisbelowthelowerlimit.Coolantshallnotbeadded
abovetheupperlimit.

Aftertheengineisstarted
1.Withtheenginerunning,checkifthealternatorindicatorlightandtheoil
pressureindicatorlightareoff.
