Adjustingarm
1Lubrication:mountoilmonthon
adjusting arm, use lithium base
greaseperiodicallytolubricatead
justingarm(maximumlubricationin
tervalislimitedto10000km),orelse,
lifeofadjustingarmwilldecrease.
2Check adjusting arm's counter
clockwiseforcemomentperiodically:
rotateadjustingnutofadjustingarm
counterclockwisewhenrunningevery
20000kmandmeasurewhetherthe
rotarymomentisbiggerthan18Nm,
measureforthreetimesrepeatedly.If
themomentissmallerthan18Nm,it
indicatesadjustingarmhasbeen
damageandneedstobereplaced
theadjustingarmassembly.
Brake
Frontbrakehasthesamestructure
withtherearbrake.Itisshoebrake
withcamshaftwithfixedsustainer.
Whenbraking,frontandrearshoe
slicesofthebrakepresstotherotat
ingbrakedrumbytheactionofthe
samepushforce;sotherearbrake
shoeiscalledpower-reducingbrake
shoe.Allaboveleadtoimbalanceof
forces that front and rear brake
shoespressonthebrakedrum,so
thiskindofbrakeiscalledsimple
imbalancedbrake.
Clearancebetweenfrictiondiscofthe
brakeshoeandthebrakedrummust
be proper, before adjusting the
clearance,makethefrontwheeloff
ground;adjustingstepsareasfollows:
Fulladjustment
1.Looseningfixednutofbrakeshoe
bearingpinandnutofbindingbolt
oncambracket.
2.Rotatebrakeshoebearingpinso
astomakeclearancebetweenfront
shoeandbearingpinendthesame
asthatbetweenrearshoeandbear
ingpin.
3.Startbraking,makebrakeshoe
frictiondiscleanagainstbrakedrum
closelyandbrakecamshaftauto
maticpositionedandtightennutof
bindingboltonsupportframe.
4.Releasebrakingandrotateworm
soastomakebrakeshoefrictiondisc
leanagainstbrakedrumclosely.Then
counter-rotateworm,releasedby3/4r,
brakedrumshouldberotatefreely.

5.Testdriveafteradjustment,check
workingconditionofbrake,whether
thebrakedrumgethotandwhether
brakingdistanceisproper.Ifnot,
readjustit
Partialadjustment
Turnwormofthebrakearmtoadjust
clearancebetweenfrictiondiscatthe
camshaftendofthebrakeassembly
andthebrakedrum.Adjustingmeth
odsareasfollows:Facetotheworm,
turnthewormclockwise,atthesame
time,rotatethebrakedrumcome-
and-gocontinuouslytillthebrake
drumissuppressedcompletely,and
thenreturnthewormanticlockwise
by1/2-3/4circle,atthistime,wind
ageoftheendofthebrakedrum
shaftis0.25-0.4mm,whilecamshaft
endis0.45mm.
Brakevalve
Brakevalveisamechanismwith
whichthewholeairbrakesystem
controlsthebrake.
UsingandMaintenance:
routineinspection
1.Beforerunning,airpressureinthe
pipelineshouldbechecked,when
the air pressure is more than
0.6Mpa,thevehiclecanstart,and
thenormalrunningairpressureis
0.74-0.84Mpa;iftheairpressureis
lowerthanthisvalue,checktheair
pipelineforleakandcheckwhether
theaircompressorworksnormally.
2.Checkworkingconditionofthe
brakeinrunningwhetherthereisany
trailingorthebrakingcannotreturn
anddealwiththeproblemsintime.If
the air pressure is lower than
0.45Mpabuttheannuciatordoesnot
warn,checktheannuciator,replace
itifnecessary.
3.Ifthebrakeshoesliceisdamaged
oroverworn,replacefornewone;
surfaceofthenewlinershouldbe
grinded,andthereshouldbenooil
dirt,scratches,chaponthesurface.
Frictiondiscmustbemadeofthe
samematerial.
4.Replacingfrictiondiscorrein
stallingshoesliceshaftandbrake
camshaftwilldamagecontactcondi
tionbetweenformerfrictiondiscand
brakedrum,becauseofwhich,full
adjustmentmustbedone.(seede
tailedadjustingmethodsabove)
