Check accessory drive belt and drive belt tensioner for failure and conduct
troubleshooting when necessary.
Go to Step 3. —

Run the engine to check compressor for any abnormal noise:
Does the noise last for over 30 seconds?
Go to Step 5. Go to Step 4.

L et the engine run for several minutes.
S top the engine for 1 minute.
Res tart the engine.
I s any noise detected by using this procedure?
Go to Step 6.
G eneration of liquid

night.

C heck if the refrigerant level in system is too low.
I s the system refrigerant sufficient?
Go to Step 7. Go to Step 8.

Check if the heat expansion valve is stuck at closed or open position.
I s the heat expansion valve is stuck at open position?
R eplace expansion
valve.
Go to Step 7.

C heck if the compressor bolt and/or A/C pipeline scratches body parts.
I s the mounting bolt loosened?
T ighten bolt and/or
rearrange pipeline.
Go to Step 8.

① R ecover refrigerant and replace compressor.
② Refill the system.
I s the gas pressure within the specified range?
T he system inspection is
finished.
