8. Fault diagnosis of blower motor.
Step Operation
Yes
No
1
① Turn the ignition switch to ON position with the engine off.
②
Turn the blower motor switch to each speed position.
I f there any speed position failed?
Go to Step 3. Go to Step 2.
2
C heck blower motor fuse for blowout.
Is the fuse blown out ?
Replace the fuse with a
new one of the same
rating.
Go to Step 3.
3
Check the power supply of blower motor.
T he blower motor won ’ t run even though there is voltage.
4
① Run the blower under every speed and run once at the integrated radio
control position of blower.
②
20 blower speeds should be effective.
Is every blower speed effective ?
Go to Step 8. Go to Step 5.
5
① Plug a 2-pin connector into the back of blower motor.
②
Use integrated radio to control blower and run the blower once at each
one of 20 blower speeds.
③
Compare the voltage with the illustrated voltage. P lease refer to
“ 1.2.1.2 Sensor Resistance Table ” in “ Automatic Air Heater,
Ventilation and A/C S ystem ” for details.
D oes the voltage approach to the illustrated voltage?
Go to Step 8. Go to Step 6.
6
C onnect the fault diagnosis instrument. C onduct combined testing for
switch data. U se fault diagnosis instrument to increase / decrease the soft
key to select from 20 different blower speeds.
Is every speed effective
C onduct integrated radio
control testing for blower
switch function.
Go to Step 7.
7
R eplace air heater, ventilation and A/C system control module .
Is the fault detected and eliminated?
Go to Step 8.
8
Run the system to check the maintenance result.
Is the fault eliminated?
System is normal. Go to Step 1
