Yourvehicleisprovidedwiththe
wastegasexhaustsystem,andhas
metthewastegasemissionlimit
specifiedbythestate.Thereare
threetypesofwastegasexhaust
controlsystems.
(1)crankshaftcaseemissioncontrol
system
(2) evaporation emission control
system
(3)exhaustemissioncontrolsystem
Toensureeffectivefunctioningofthe
wastegasexhaustsystem,itisrecé„„
ommendedtohavetheauthorized
JACdealerinspectandmaintainthe
vehicleaccordingtothemaintenance
scheduleinthismanual.
1.Crankshaftcaseemissioncontrol
system
The forced ventilation system of
crankshaftcasecanpreventairpolé„„
lutionbythemixedgasescaped
fromthecrankshaftcase.Thissysé„„
temsuppliesfilteredfreshairtothe
crankshaftcase.Inthecrankshaft
case,thefreshairismixedwiththe
escapedairfromothercylinderand
thenthismixedgasenterstheairiné„„
takesystemviathePCVvalve.
2.Evaporationemissioncontrolsysé„„
tem
Theevaporationemissioncontrolsysé„„
temisdesignedtopreventlossof
fuelvapor.
3.Exhaustemissioncontrolsystem
Theexhaustemissioncontrolsystem
isahighefficiencysystem,andcan
controlthewastegasemissionand
hasthefunctionofmaintainingthe
vehicle.
Charcoalcanister
Whentheengineisnotworking,the
fuelvaporproducedinthefueltank
isabsorbedandstoredinthecharé„„
coalcanister.Whentheengineisopé„„
erating,thefuelvaporinthecharcoal
canisterispumpedintotheairintake
system via the purifying control
solenoidvalve.
Purifyingcontrolsolenoidvalve
TheECMcontrolsthepurifyingconé„„
trolsolenoidvalve;whenthetemperé„„
atureofenginecoolingliquidislow
andtheengineisinidling,thevalve
closes,sothatthevaporizedfuel
cannotenterthecharcoalcanister.

Whentheenginegetshotinnormal
driving,thevalveopensandadmits
thevaporizedfuelintothecharcoal
canister.
EGRsystem(ifinstalled)
ThissystemcontrolstheNOxbyway
ofcirculatedexhaust,tolowerthe
combustiontemperatureofthecyliné„„
der.
Three-waycatalyticconverters
AllJACvehiclesareprovidedwithiné„„
tegratedthree-waycatalyticconverté„„
ers,toreducethecarbonmonoxide,
hydrocarboncompoundsandnitric
oxygen. The waste gas flowing
throughtheconvertercankeepthe
device at maximum temperature.
Whengasolinehavingnotcompletely
burntenterstheexhaustsystem,the
converterwilloverheatanditmay
leadtoburningthevehicle.
Caution:

Warning:
音 Lead-free gasoline (over
93#)mustbeused.
音 Takecareoftheengineso
thatitkeepsgoodfunctions.The
causeofexcessivelyhighconé„„
vertertemperatureispoorfuncé„„
tioningofelectricalandignition
systemsorimproperoffueliné„„
jection.
音 Incaseofenginestall,slight
knocking,knockingduringopé„„
erationofdifficultstarting,have
theenginecheckedorrepaired
bytheJACdealer,oritwillrené„„
dertheengineunabletowork
normallyandwilldamagethe
converter.
音 Avoiddrivingthevehiclewith
lowfuelorstartingtheengine
withoutgasoline.Otherwisethe
engine cannot work normally
andtheconverterwillbedamé„„
aged.
音 Theidlingtimeoftheengine
mustnotexceed10min.
音 Donottrytostarttheengine
bypullingorpushingthevehié„„
cle.Thismayoverheattheconé„„
verterandresultinburning.
