Installation Instructions

Remove Fairing, Seat, and Fuel Tank

Remove outer fairing shell, seat, and fuel tank for access.

Route Amplifier Power Harness

Route the amplifier power harness from the fairing to the battery.

Route Rear Speaker Wiring Harness

Route the rear speaker wiring harness to the rear speaker mounting location.

Connect Power Harness to Battery

Connect the amplifier power harness positive lead to the battery positive post.

Remove CB/SAT Radio Modules

Remove CB/SAT radio modules from the factory radio for installation.

Loosen Radio Mounting Bolts

Remove forward radio mounting bolts and loosen rearward mounting bolts.

Relocate Fairing Plugs

Relocate large plugs from inside fairing braces to the outside.

Remove Radio Grommets

Remove rubber grommets from the top of the factory radio.

Remove Fairing Brace Stud

Remove metal stud from the right side fairing brace with a cutting tool.

Modify Gauge Cups for Clearance

Cut 1/2" material from bottom of gauge cups for amplifier clearance.

Position Amplifier Bracket Assembly

Position the J&M Amp/Bracket assembly above the radio and slide into position.

Secure Amplifier Mounting Bolts

Replace forward radio mounting bolts and tighten all mounting bolts.

Make Amplifier Speaker Connections

Make amplifier and speaker connections according to the diagram.

Install CB/SAT Radio Modules

Install removed CB/SAT radio modules into the lower mounting bracket.

Secure Lower Bracket Assembly

Position lower bracket assembly below the factory radio and secure with screws.

Reconnect CB/SAT Radio Harness

Reconnect the CB/SAT radio harness and antenna connectors.

Test System Operation

Test the system for proper operation before reassembling the fairing.
