Machine Setting

Set the pattern seaector dial at
Hook a filler cord on the cord
spur located at the rear of the
foot, and bring the ends forward
under the foot, Slide both
threads to the left, Lower the
needle into the garment where the
buttonhole is to start, and lower
the foot.
Sew the buttonhole following
directions on pages 27 and 28.
Each side of the buttonhole is
sewn over the cord.
When the buttonhole is completed,
remove the fabric from the
machine, and cut the sewing
threads,
Pull the left end of the filler cords
to tighten. Thread the ends
through a darning needle, draw to
the wrong side of the fabric and
cut.
Mettre te choix des motifs sur
Accrochez te cordon remplisseur
sur Ie cordon de l'aiguilton situ_
gt l'arH_re du pied, et glissez les
bouts sous le pied. Glissez les
deux ills it gauche. Baissez
l'aiguitle dam' le v_ternent oil la
boutonniere dolt commencer et
baissez le pied.
Cousez la boutonnikre suivant les
directions sur les pages 2 7 a 28.
Chaque cot# de la boutonnibre et
te fauf!lage vont _tre eousus par-
dessus le cordon.
Quand la boutonnibre est
completde, entevez le tissu de la
machine et eoupez les ills,
Tirez le cot# gauche du cordon
rernplisseur pour serrer. Fitez tes
bouts _ travers une aiguille
repriser, tirez sur le mauvais c6t_
du tissu et eoupez.
