OPERATION - TIG
Before starng any welding acvity ensure that you have suitable eye protecon and
protecve clothing. Also take the necessary steps to protect any persons within the welding
area.
TIG operaon steps
Select the downslope me seng funcon by
pressing the parameter selecon key unl the
Tdown LED Illuminates. The downslope me
range is 0~10 seconds and is adjusted via the
control knob and the me is shown on the
front panel digital display.
Select the nal current seng funcon by
pressing the parameter selecon key unl the
If LED Illuminates. The nal current range is
0~60amps and is adjusted via the control
knob and the amperage is shown on the front
panel digital display. The nal current
amperage can be adjusted during welding.
Select the post ow me seng funcon by
pressing the parameter selecng key unl the
Tpost LED illuminates. The post ow me
range is 0.5~15 seconds and is adjusted via the
control knob and the post ow me is shown
on the front panel digital display.
Aer the parameters are set appropriately, open the gas valve of the cylinder and adjust the gas
regulator to the desired ow value.
Keep the torch 2-4mm away from the work piece and then press the torch trigger, the solenoid valve will
operate, gas will ow and HF starts.
Aer arc is ignited, the HF discharge rustling disappears, the current rises up to the pre-set value and
welding can be carried out. Aer releasing the torch trigger, the current begins to decrease automacally
to the crater current value. Then, arc stops with gas kept owing for the post ow me and welding ends.
Pulsed TIG
Select the pulsed TIG mode by pressing the welding mode selecng key.
Select the 2T mode by pressing the operaon mode selecng key.
Proceed with the set up as for standard TIG. The welding current seng now becomes the peak
welding current of the pulse. The next step will allow seng of the base current. This is only allowed
when the pulse mode is selected.
