relatively
sirnple
in
operation.
The
system is operated
by
a manual winch.
As
the
~itlch
turns,
the
main
cable, which is connected to the four
se~wndar! cables from each corner,
is
shortened.
As
the
main
vnhlc
shortens.
it
pulls
the
secondary cables,
forcing
the
flexible
stccl
core
to
be
pushed upward against the last tier of each
tclcscooic
arm. Because
strone
force
can
be
achieved
with
little
"
cfi'ort
through a pulley system, the roof can
be
iifted
easily.
CAUTION:
Never
attempt
to
crank
roof
up
with
boat
or
any
item
on
roof.
