CONVERTOR
Your interior Iight(s) and heater (optional)
will
operate from the 12-volt
power source.
If

10-volt
AC
is available, the convertor will transform this
current to 12-volt.
This
needs to
be
switched
manually.
The
TRANS
position
is
used when the 110-vo!t current needs
to
be
transformed to 12-volt. The
BATTERY
position is used when
alt
current is to be received from battery
either
in
tow vehicie or optional auxiliary if used. The
OFF
position
is
used
for traveling
or
storage.
A
6
and
10
AMP
convertor
DOES
NOT
have
a
built-in
battery
charger.
A
20
AMP
convertor in
Deluxe
Series has
a
battery
charger.

Convertors
are
standard
in
Jayco
Series
1208,
1206,
1006
&
1008
J-Scries.
They
are
optionat
in
alf
other
J-Series.

BATTERY
(OPTIONAL)
All
Jayco units
are
pre-u,ired
so
that all interior
12-volt
appliances
can
be
operated
when
the
tow
vehicle
and
coach
arc
connected
v~a
the wiring harness. This
is
possible only
if
thc
dealer
connects
the
black
wire
of
the wire harness
to
a
"hot"
supply.
An
auxiliary
battery
may
be
installed
to
avoid discharging
the
vehicle
battery.
Caution
should
be
used
when
drawing current from your
tow
vehicle
TO
avoid
draining
the
battery
to
a
point
that
the
tcw
vehicle
will
not
start.
FUSES
For
the
806
&
705
"J"
series without convertor, an in-line
fuse
for
in-
terior circuit
is
installedl located under
the
dinette seat:
on
left
front
side.
The replacement fuse size
is
8A.
Other
Jayco
model tent campers have the interior circuit directed through
the
convertor.
WARNING:
Do
not replace circuit breakers or
fuses
with
those
of
a
higher current
rating
than
those supplied
with
the
new
camper.
Over-
fusing
can
cause
a
fire hazard by overheating above the temperature
rating of the eiectrical
wiring.
