Overview

The Ivy Bag is a portable, flexible water storage and dispensing system designed for various applications, including transportation of water and as a source for potable drinking water. It is available in three capacities: 10 Gallon (Item #580280), 25 Gallon (Item #580281), and 50 Gallon (Item #580282).

Function Description:

The primary function of the Ivy Bag is to provide a convenient and flexible solution for storing and dispensing liquids, particularly water. Its design allows for easy transport and deployment in various settings, making it suitable for outdoor activities, emergency preparedness, or as a temporary water supply. The bag is equipped with a fill tube assembly with a ball valve for controlled filling and dispensing, and a clean-out port for maintenance. D-rings are integrated into the design for securing the bag during transport, though it's important to note specific warnings regarding their use for hanging.

    1. After each use, especially when used for potable drinking water, completely drain the Ivy Bag.
    2. Leave the fill/dispensing valve in the open position.

    4. Hang the empty unit and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling the port cap. This helps prevent mold, mildew, and odors.
  • Clean-Out Port Cap Maintenance:
    1. The threaded clean-out cap is equipped with a lubricated O-ring to ensure a proper seal.
    2. Occasional reapplication of lubricant may be necessary to maintain the seal.
    3. Recommended lubricants include petroleum jelly, vegetable oil, or olive oil, applied lightly to the O-ring.
    4. O-ring Replacement: If the O-ring needs replacement, use a #138 Silicone or Buna O-ring for optimal results.
  • Replacement Parts Availability: Key components like the Ball Valve and the Inlet/Outlet Tube with Stainless Clamp are available as replacement parts, extending the lifespan of the product.
