Gate Assembly Preparation and Initial Steps

Getting Ready to Assemble Your Gate Kit

Familiarize yourself with gate hardware frames and instructions, noting concave side of spreader bars.

Step 1: Post Hinge (E) Installation

Locate center point on post, measure 20" up/down for hinge brackets, attach using 2" wood screws.

Step 2: Gate Hinge (D) and Frame (A) Installation

Attach frame hinges to gate frame, then connect to post hinges and insert spreader bars.

Gate Frame and Latch Assembly

Step 2C: Latch Side of Frame (A) Installation

Attach latch side frame, measure for 2x4s, attach using wood screws and flathead screws.

Step 3: Truss Cable and Gate Latch Installation

Assemble truss cable, attach striker bar, align latch to post using wood screws.

Final Board Attachment and Adjustments

Step 4: Attaching Your Boards

Attach gate boards to 2x4s using nails or screws, tune gate with turnbuckle.
