7. On the screen that you need to capture, press the Print button. The HyperTerminal software
displays the printed information, and the information is recorded as a .txt file.
8. When you have recorded the required reports, click Transfer from the toolbar. From the
transfer list, click Capture Text and then click Stop. This stops the transfer and allows access
to the capture file.
9. Do not change the format of the file, the .txt format is preferred for data review.
Serial data logging
When serial data logging is enabled, data values are serially transmitted to the RS-232 port at an
interval defined by the data logging interval. The data is comma separated with a carriage return
and line feed transmitted at the end of each transmission interval from the same snapshot in time.
